Book fair is one of the recent fairs in the history of mankind. Nowadays, book fairs are frequently held in different cities and towns. Last year I also visited a book fair that was held in my city, Kolkata. The fair was organized in the Maidan, just opposite Park Street. Many people visited the fair. More than five hundred book stalls were set-up in the fair. Numerous books on different topics were put on display in the stalls. Book-lovers were spoilt for choice. I bought some books from the fair. I wanted to buy more books but did not have enough cash. However, I managed to collect a lot of catalogues for buying books the next time. Books are our best companions. They make our lives more meaningful by enlarging our vision. The main purpose of the book fair is not only to sell books but spread awareness about books among all.
