Journey by train - Delhi (Class 6)

One of my uncle stays in Delhi. Last year, during the puja vacation, he came to Calcutta and stayed with us. While going back he asked me that if I would like to go to Delhi with him or not. I really wanted visit Delhi from my childhood. Moreover, many days were still left for my puja vacation to be over. So I immediately agreed to his proposal.

We went to Delhi by Kalka mail in AC two tier coach. Fortunately, for me my seat was near the window. As we reached our berth we immediately spread the bed-rolls and made ourselves comfortable. However, to my disappointment, it was totally dark outside the window and I was unable to see anything when the train left the platform. My uncle assured me that I will be able to see everything outside in the morning. So after listening to music for sometime on my mobile phone I went off to sleep.

In the morning when I got up, I first went to wash my face. When I came back to my seat I looked outside the window and was amazed to see the pristine beauty of the nature outside the train. The scenic beauty of the vast open green fields, hills, rivers and remote villages were beholding to watch. Everywhere there was green and a sense of freshness.

In the afternoon when our train reached Allahabad, we had our lunch in the dining car of the train. After the lunch, I was full. But my thirst to see more and more beautiful sceneries and locations outside the train still remained unquenched. I went back to my seat near the window and kept looking at the outside world. Slowly I dozed off to sleep.

Even in the evening I continued to sit staring outside the window, admiring the beauty of nature. The scenery outside was looking very unique in the pink evening sky. I was lost in my own dream world looking outside the train. We went to sleep quite early that night, as our train was supposed to reach Delhi early morning the next day. When our train finally reached Delhi station the next morning our wonderful journey came to an end and with it my fantasy and imaginations!
