YEDSHI TAMLING GHAT WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

Yedshi Ramling Ghat Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the village of Yedshi, Bhanasgaon and Wadgaon in Osmanabad Tehsil of Maharashtra.

Flora
Vegetation type: mostly South Deccan Plateau dry deciduous forests also called as dry deciduous forest.
Major tree species: Arjun, Babuldhaman, Teak, Dhawda, Sandal, Salai, Apta, Bel, Bor, Dikamals, etc.
Major shrub species: Lantana, Karwand, etc.
Major grass species: Mavvel, Shedya, Kusali, etc.

Fauna
Wolf, Chinkara, Wild bear, Hyena, Black duck, Fox, Hares, etc.

Avian Fauna
Black duck, Peacock, Jungle fowls, etc.

Getting there
Aurangabad airport is the nearest airport. The closest railway station to Yedshi Ramling Ghat Wildlife Sanctuary is at Yedshi. The sanctuary is also connected to the major towns and cities of Maharashtra through a good network of roadways. Yedshi-Sonegaon-Bhanasgaon road and Latur- Barshi road pass through Yedshi Ramling Ghat sanctuary.

Tourist Information
There are limited accommodation facilities within the sanctuary. The visitors have to contact the Range Forest Officer, (Wildlife) at Yedshi, Ramling for prior reservation. Different budget hotels and guest houses are available in the nearby villages and towns. Trekking, nature trail and nature photography are major tourist activities in the sanctuary.
The incoming visitors are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations of the forest. Cooking, picnics, littering, swimming, drinking alcohol, honking and making loud noise are not allowed inside the sanctuary. Carrying pets, weapons or inflammable items inside the sanctuary is strictly prohibited. No one is allowed to enter the sanctuary after sunset. It is always advisable to avoid visiting the sanctuary during the monsoon season as most part of the reserve are quite difficult to access during this time of the year.
Jain-Mahaveer Caves, Paranda Fort, Naldurg Fort, Tulja Bhavani Temple, Jamia Masjid, Naldurg, Hemadpanthi Shiv Temple, etc are some of the nearby tourist spots.
